i’ll remember this for when i run into someone who is legitimately concerned about life and happens to be against abortion as opposed to all of the mindlessly hateful anti-woman people i’ve seen so far on tumblr. :)
it would be nice to believe that anti-abortion advocates are just politely perplexed patron angels fighting a misguided crusade in defense of the sweet little children but that’s not what i ever ever ever observe
exposing cold hard conjecturally obvious facts to a ~pro-lifer (or fucking what ever they think sounds sanitary) does not alter their course. you are still a monster. you still love to murder babies. and god forbid you bring the uterus into the conversation — god forbid you mention that common sense and the united nations have defined forcing a person to give birth as torture — because then true motivations come to light
and every time i have ever argued to any extent with one of these people i have observed they don’t give an enchanted fuck about babies. certainly they will never in their life lessen themselves changing the diaper of a low-functioning autistic child, or patting the hand of a dying premature infant wasted by AIDS.
the motivation i determine in them is that the person in question just does not like women. they do not like women having sex, or the wrong kinds of sex. they see an opportunity to punish women for having bad sex by writing legislation which permits the state to force them to undergo the most excruciating, debilitating, often in instances where abortion is considered excruciatingly demeaning nine months of their lives, very often to figuratively or literally end these womens lives — and they pursue it doggedly, fuck the babies.
i’m sure exceptions exist — i hope they do — but i have never seen one.
i’m sorry. that’s my candid observation.

ACTUALLY many, many vegans are prolife. And they aren’t even hard to find on the internet if you got your head out of your ass and actually looked up facts instead of spouting whatever you think sounds the best when demeaning other groups.
